Color Me Happy

Ben: "Mom, if oranges are called 'oranges,' why aren't lemons called 'yellows' and limes called 'greens'?"

Me: "That is an excellent question, Ben. What should we call bananas, strawberries and apples then?"

Ben: (silence) "Hm. I'm going to have to think on that one a bit."

It's the thought processes and the resulting comments like the ones you mentioned that makes children some of the best entertainment in the world. I take great joy in watching each child complete the puzzle of the world in their heads, its an interesting journey to see. Good for you for writing it down!

I absolutely love when kids make comments like these--it's like opening a window into their brains. We get a peek inside to see how things work!
